Our Culture
At Sammons, “ownership culture” isn’t just a trend or a buzzword. We prioritize investing in our biggest assets, our employee owners. Each person is empowered and encouraged to reach new heights while in their role to feel a sense of ownership over their decisions, results and performance.
Quite simply, our culture reflects the way each employee owner acts, even when no one is watching.
Values
Our core values are the very foundation of SEI, and define how we must approach everything we do:
Ethics & Integrity: We hold ourselves and our fellow employee owners to the highest standards.
Open Communication: Each employee owner is encouraged to express themselves openly and honestly.
Personal Accountability & Empowerment: Each of us are empowered to drive change, but are also accountable for our actions.
Focused Direction & Purpose: We all move toward the same well-defined goals and objectives to impact the enterprises’ success.
Respect for the Individual: Every employee owner is of equal value, regardless of their title.
Teamwork & Shared Success: We know we are all in this together, so when we think like owners, we all win.
ESOP and Shared Success
One of the aspects we are most proud of is the fact that Sammons Enterprises is employee owned. That means every single member of the Sammons team can play a key role in determining the success and prosperity of the enterprise.
Because of that employee ownership, Sammons offers a different kind of retirement plan. For our US-based businesses, it’s called the Employee Stock Ownership Plan, or ESOP.
An ESOP is a qualified retirement plan—like profit sharing or a 401(k) plan—that allows employee owners to accumulate shares in their retirement account over time, without any cost to them. This allows each employee to share in the value, no matter what role they hold.
While the SEI ESOP is only available in the United States, comparable programs have been implemented for all international businesses under the Sammons umbrella.
